Newhall, CA – Hit-and-Run Crash on I-5/Balboa Blvd. Leaves Injuries

Newhall, CA (October 14, 2025) – Authorities are searching for a driver who fled the scene after a hit-and-run collision left injuries on Interstate 5 southbound near Balboa Boulevard. The crash occurred in the HOV lane on October 14 and involved a black vehicle of unknown make and model. California Highway Patrol officers arrived to find victims reporting injuries from the impact.

At least one person required medical attention, though the severity of their injuries has not yet been disclosed. The suspect driver fled before law enforcement arrived, leaving behind injured victims and damaged vehicles. CHP investigators are working to gather witness statements and possible surveillance footage to identify the fleeing driver.
