Newhall, CA – Semi-Truck & Sedan Crash on I-5 near Templin Hwy Leaves Injuries

Newhall, CA (November 6, 2025) – A serious semi-truck and passenger vehicle crash on Interstate 5 northbound near the Templin Highway off-ramp left at least one person injured on November 5. The California Highway Patrol reported that a blue Toyota Camry became trapped underneath a semi-truck hauling an estimated 70,000 pounds of cargo.

Emergency crews arrived to find the sedan pinned beneath the trailer, blocking multiple lanes. Specialized heavy-duty tow equipment was requested to lift the trailer and extract the vehicle. One individual sustained injuries and received on-site medical evaluation before being transported to a nearby hospital for further care.

All northbound lanes were closed for an extended period as Santa Clarita authorities and CHP investigated the incident and cleared the scene.
