Newhall, CA – Two-Vehicle Collision on I-5 Leaves One Injured at Templin Hwy.

Newhall, CA (July 24, 2025) – A two-vehicle crash on the northbound side of Interstate 5 at the Templin Highway off-ramp left at least one person injured early Thursday morning, July 24. The collision, which occurred around rush hour, involved a blue sedan and a red SUV.

First responders from the Los Angeles County Fire Department and the California Highway Patrol (CHP) rushed to the scene, providing on-site assessment and first aid to at least one injured party. An ambulance was dispatched shortly after, though the severity of injuries remains unclear at this time.

CHP officers closed the affected lane while conducting a preliminary investigation and managing traffic. The scene was eventually cleared, but not before causing significant delays for morning commuters heading north on I-5. Authorities are continuing to investigate the cause of the crash and whether any citations will be issued.
