Newhall, CA – Two-Vehicle Crash on I-5 S/Lake Hughes Rd. Injures Motorist

Newhall, CA (December 16, 2025) – A two-vehicle collision involving a commercial semi-truck and an SUV occurred on Interstate 5 southbound at the Lake Hughes Road off-ramp on Monday, December 15, according to the California Highway Patrol. The crash involved a white tractor-trailer and a white Mercedes SUV.

Los Angeles County Fire Department personnel responded and requested an ambulance as a precaution. All the involved individuals were assessed at the scene, with injuries reported. One injured party was later transported to a nearby medical facility for further evaluation.

Traffic delays were reported as tow trucks worked to remove the vehicles and clear the roadway. CHP officers documented the scene and began an investigation into the cause of the crash.
