Sacramento, CA – Multi-Vehicle Injury Crash on I-5 S in South Sacramento

Sacramento, CA (December 16, 2025) – A multi-vehicle traffic collision on Interstate 5 southbound near the Highway 80 junction resulted in reported injuries on Monday, December 15, according to the California Highway Patrol (CHP). The crash involved at least three vehicles, including a red sedan, a white SUV, and a minivan.

CHP officers and Sacramento Fire Department personnel responded to the scene, where one lane was blocked due to disabled vehicles. Paramedics evaluated the injured victims, and at least one individual was transported to a nearby hospital for further treatment. The California Highway Patrol is investigating the incident to determine how the collision occurred.
