San Diego, CA – Three-Vehicle Crash on I-5 S Causes Injuries
San Diego, CA (December 16, 2025) – A three-vehicle collision on I-5 southbound at the Pacific Highway on-ramp left multiple people injured on Monday, December 15, according to the California Highway Patrol (CHP). The crash involved a black Kia K5 and two additional vehicles and occurred near the on-ramp.
CHP officers arrived to find all involved vehicles disabled and positioned across the lanes and center divide. Witnesses reported that the Kia had been driving recklessly and speeding prior to the collision. Ambulances were dispatched to the scene, and injured individuals were assessed before being transported to area hospitals for further medical treatment.
Traffic on southbound I-5 came to a complete stop while authorities worked to manage the scene. Tow trucks were requested to remove the damaged vehicles, and the freeway remained partially closed until crews cleared the roadway. The California Highway Patrol is actively investigating the crash.
