Newhall, CA – Two-Vehicle Crash on I-5 S/San Fernando Rd Leaves Injuries 

Newhall, CA (November 24, 2025) – A chaotic crash on southbound Interstate 5 near the San Fernando Road off-ramp caused injuries on Saturday, November 22. According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision involved a light-colored pickup truck and a black Toyota Avalon. Responders initially feared one of the vehicles may have rolled onto its roof, prompting an urgent dispatch of Los Angeles Fire Department crews.

Upon arrival, firefighters found three passengers who were evaluated on site. However, witnesses reported that four male teenagers and one female teenager fled the scene on foot, prompting CHP units to canvass the surrounding area. CHP is continuing to search for the teens believed to be involved and reviewing whether hit-and-run charges will apply.
