Josephine Co., OR – Wrong-Way Wreck on I-5 near MP 62 Leaves One Dead, Two Hurt
Josephine County, OR (November 24, 2025) – A devastating two-vehicle accident on Interstate 5 near milepost 62 left one woman dead and two others injured on Saturday, November 22. According to the Oregon State Police, the crash occurred shortly after 2:00 a.m. when a Chevrolet S10 driven by 34-year-old Annette Dea Dimmick of Grants Pass was traveling south in the northbound lanes for reasons still unknown. Her pickup collided head-on with a northbound Volvo commercial semi-truck operated by 68-year-old David Michael Jellison of Alliance, Ohio.
Dimmick suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene by first responders. Jellison and a 29-year-old passenger in his truck sustained minor injuries and were transported to a local hospital for additional medical evaluation. Troopers conducted an extensive on-scene investigation. Authorities are now working to determine what caused the wrong-way entry.
