Bakersfield, CA – Multi-Vehicle Crash on I-5/Fort Tejon Rd Leaves Injuries

Bakersfield, CA (November 24, 2025) – A multi-vehicle collision involving four to five vehicles caused injuries on Monday, November 24, on the northbound Interstate 5 just north of Fort Tejon Road. The crash was reported around 4:45 p.m., prompting a rapid response from the California Highway Patrol and Kern County emergency teams.

Several occupants from the involved vehicles reported injuries, though officials have not yet released the number of people transported to area hospitals. Traffic slowed to a crawl as responders worked to secure the scene and prevent any additional incidents from occurring due to the backed-up vehicles. Towing crews arrived soon after to remove the damaged cars, allowing lanes to gradually reopen. CHP investigators are working to determine the cause of the crash.
