Oceanside, CA – Crash on I-5 N Leaves One Injured Near Smart & Final Area

Oceanside, CA (August 5, 2025) – A collision involving a white Mitsubishi Lancer and a white pickup truck resulted in at least one injury on the northbound lanes of Interstate 5 near the Smart & Final area on August 5th. The crash was reported around 3:03 p.m., prompting a rapid response from the California Highway Patrol and emergency services. Responders provided on-site first aid, and at least one person was later transported by ambulance to a nearby hospital for further evaluation. A tow truck was dispatched to the scene to clear the vehicles and reopen all lanes safely. CHP officers redirected traffic and conducted an initial investigation to establish fault in the collision.
