Sacramento, CA – Wreck on I-5 S Injures Several People Near Cosumnes River Blvd

Sacramento, CA (August 5, 2025) – A three-vehicle crash on Interstate 5 South near the Cosumnes River Boulevard off-ramp left several people with injuries on the afternoon of August 5. The accident occurred around 2:58 p.m., involving a silver sedan, a light blue Toyota Highlander, and an unknown tan vehicle. According to the California Highway Patrol (CHP), first responders provided on-site assessments and treatment. At least one person required transport to a nearby hospital for further evaluation.

Towing services were called in to remove the disabled vehicles and assist in clearing the roadway. CHP continues to investigate the cause of the crash. All lanes have since reopened, and traffic resumed to normal shortly after the scene was cleared.
