Oceanside, CA – Injury Crash Involving Multiple Vehicles on I-5 SB/La Costa

Oceanside, CA (November 25, 2025) – A major multi-vehicle collision on Interstate 5 southbound just north of La Costa Avenue caused injuries and significant lane closures on Monday, November 24. Early reports indicated a three-vehicle crash, though later updates suggested as many as four to five vehicles were involved. Fire crews responded promptly and requested three tow trucks—two standard and one flatbed—due to the extent of vehicle damage.

Freeway Service Patrol units confirmed that all involved cars were initially stopped in the fast lane before responders moved them to the shoulder. One party declined ambulance transport, but others required medical evaluation, with ambulance en route. Traffic slowed for several miles as crews worked to clear the roadway.
