Oceanside, CA (October 22, 2025) – A traffic accident involving a motorcycle and a blue Chevrolet Equinox on I-5 near California Street resulted in injuries on Wednesday morning, October 22, according to the California Highway Patrol (CHP). The crash was reported in the southbound lanes at approximately 9:45 a.m.
CHP officers arrived to find the motorcycle down in the roadway and the SUV with visible front-end damage. The motorcyclist sustained serious injuries and received immediate treatment from emergency medical personnel at the scene before being transported to a nearby hospital for additional medical attention. The driver of the Chevrolet appeared shaken but did not report major injuries.
Traffic in the area slowed significantly as authorities worked to clear the scene and document the accident. Investigators are examining the events leading up to the crash to determine the underlying cause.
