Oceanside, CA – Multi-Vehicle Crash on I-5 N/Mission Ave. Ramp Leaves Injuries

Oceanside, CA (August 30, 2025) – On the afternoon of August 30, a serious crash occurred on the Interstate 5 northbound Mission Avenue off-ramp in Oceanside, involving at least two vehicles and leaving several people injured. According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident began when a black Hyundai sedan reportedly came off Brooke Street, crashed through a fence, and entered the freeway in the wrong direction. The sedan collided head-on with a silver Toyota Prius that was exiting at Mission Avenue. The force of the impact left both vehicles with heavy front-end damage, blocking the entire off-ramp.

Emergency crews quickly responded to the scene, where at least two people were treated for injuries. Authorities later confirmed that an ambulance transported one of the victims to a nearby hospital for further evaluation. Another person received medical aid at the scene.

CHP investigators are working to determine the cause of the crash. Investigators have not yet released the identities of those involved.
