Oceanside, CA – Two-Vehicle Crash on I-5 N/Tamarack Leaves Injuries

Oceanside, CA (August 31, 2025) – On Sunday afternoon, August 31, a two-vehicle crash on I-5 North near Tamarack Avenue in Oceanside left both drivers injured. The California Highway Patrol reported that the crash involved a silver Toyota RAV4 and a beige Jeep Wrangler, both of which ended up on the right-hand shoulder with significant damage. First responders arrived around 2:46 p.m. and confirmed that the occupants of both vehicles suffered non-life-threatening injuries. Medical crews treated victims at the scene, and at least one person was later transported to a local hospital for further evaluation. One of the drivers declined a tow service, despite heavy damage to the Toyota SUV. Traffic slowed briefly while CHP and Freeway Service Patrol cleared the vehicles to the shoulder. Authorities are investigating the cause of the collision.
