Oceanside, CA – Two-Vehicle Crash with Injuries on I-5 S Near Tamarack Ave.

Oceanside, CA (September 8, 2025) – A two-vehicle crash on Interstate 5 southbound just south of Tamarack Avenue left multiple people injured on Monday, September 8, around noon. The California Highway Patrol (CHP) confirmed that a gray Nissan SUV collided with a gray Toyota Camry, causing both vehicles to spin and block the carpool and fast lanes.

One vehicle reportedly struck the center divider, and airbags deployed in at least one car. A child was among the occupants at the scene but was not reported to have serious injuries. At least one person was transported by ambulance to a nearby hospital. Authorities issued a Sigalert as crews worked to move the damaged vehicles and clear traffic hazards. Tow trucks arrived to remove the cars, both of which sustained heavy damage. CHP officers are actively investigating the events that caused the crash.
