Orange Co., CA – Injury Crash on I-5/La Paz Rd

Orange County, CA (October 16, 2025) – A multi-vehicle crash with injuries was reported on I-5 northbound near La Paz Road on Wednesday evening, October 16. The California Highway Patrol responded after receiving reports of at least two vehicles colliding on the right-hand shoulder. The vehicles involved included a white Acura SUV and another unidentified car.

Initial dispatch records indicated that one or more victims sustained injuries requiring ambulance transport to a local hospital. Tow trucks were requested to remove the heavily damaged cars from the roadway. The collision created significant slowdowns in the area while crews worked to clear the scene. CHP continues to investigate the cause of the crash and whether driver negligence may have played a role.
