Altadena, CA – Multi-Vehicle Crash with Semi on I-5 Con. Leaves Injuries
Altadena, CA (October 16, 2026) – A major four-vehicle crash involving a semi-truck caused injuries on Tuesday night, October 14, on I-5 near the SR-134 West connector. The collision occurred just before midnight and involved a semi-truck, a Nissan Pathfinder, a Honda Civic, and an additional vehicle. Officials reported that the semi-truck overturned, blocking all northbound lanes.
Emergency crews responded and transported multiple injured victims to nearby hospitals for further treatment. One of the vehicles overturned on impact, further complicating rescue efforts. CalTrans crews were dispatched to clean up a large oil spill, and authorities issued a SigAlert that closed the northbound lanes for several hours.
The California Highway Patrol is investigating the circumstances leading to the crash. Tow trucks were brought in to upright the semi and remove the damaged vehicles from the scene.
We extend our hopes for a full recovery to all those injured.
