Portland, OR – Injuries Reported in Multi-Vehicle Crash at I-5 WB Con/I-84

Portland, OR (December 7, 2025) – Multiple people were injured on December 7 in a crash on westbound Interstate 5 near the connector to Interstate 84,  according to Portland Police officials. Reports indicate the collision took place on the morning of December 7 and involved several vehicles navigating the freeway interchange.

Responding officers and medical teams arrived promptly, providing on-site evaluation for those hurt and transporting at least one individual for additional medical treatment. The crash caused significant disruption for morning commuters as multiple lanes were blocked, leaving drivers backed up for several miles.

Authorities worked to piece together the sequence of events. Crews remained at the scene for over an hour as vehicles were towed and debris was cleared to restore safe driving conditions. Investigators continue to gather information and review footage to determine fault.
