Lakewood, WA – Injury Accident on I-5 near JBLM Main Gate
Lakewood, WA (December 6, 2025) – One person suffered injuries after a crash involving a big rig on Thursday, December 4, near Joint Base Lewis-McChord (JBLM).
The Washington State Department of Transportation said the collision happened around 10:33 a.m. on I-5 SB. A sedan struck a semi-truck near the JBLM Main Gate, though officers have not said what caused the impact.
The crash left the sedan resting partly on top of a barrier along the right shoulder. Troopers with the Washington State Patrol arrived at the scene and confirmed that the sedan’s driver was hurt. First responders took the driver to a nearby hospital, but their condition remains unknown.
