Portland, OR – Serious Crash with Injuries on I-5 Near NE Broadway

Portland, OR (September 8, 2025) – A serious two-vehicle crash with reported injuries occurred on the southbound lanes of Interstate 5 near Exit 302A and NE Broadway on Monday, September 8. According to the Portland Police, the collision blocked part of the freeway during the morning commute.

Emergency medical personnel were dispatched to assist the victims, and at least one individual was transported to a nearby hospital for further treatment. Authorities have not confirmed the number of people injured, but reported that the accident involved significant vehicle damage. Police officers remained on the scene to assist with traffic control while investigators worked to determine the cause of the crash. Tow trucks were later called to remove the wrecked vehicles and reopen the affected lanes.
