Sacramento, CA – Injuries Reported in Multi-Car Wreck on I-5 at Sutterville Rd.

Sacramento, CA (August 20, 2025) – A multi-vehicle accident caused injuries on I-5 southbound near Sutterville Road on Wednesday, August 20th. The crash occurred shortly before 5:30 p.m., according to reports from the California Highway Patrol. The vehicles involved included a brown Toyota RAV4, a maroon Jaguar with Montana plates, and a black Toyota pickup truck.

Emergency responders quickly arrived and confirmed that several individuals sustained injuries in the crash. At least one victim required transportation to a local hospital for further treatment. The southbound lanes were heavily impacted, as traffic slowed while crews worked to secure the scene and assist the injured parties.

Tow trucks later removed the damaged vehicles, which had sustained significant front-end and side damage. Authorities are investigating the sequence of events that led to the crash.
