Sacramento, CA – Multiple Injuries Reported After I-5/Hood Franklin Rd. Crash

Sacramento, CA (July 21, 2025) – On the morning of July 21, a multi-vehicle collision occurred on northbound Interstate 5 just south of Hood Franklin Road in South Sacramento, leading to several injuries. Around 6:55 a.m., the Sacramento division of the California Highway Patrol (CHP) arrived at the scene where multiple vehicles had collided under unclear circumstances. Emergency medical teams were dispatched to the scene and provided immediate care to the injured. At least one individual was transported to a nearby medical center for further treatment. Details regarding the victims’ condition are still being verified. Investigators from CHP Sacramento are continuing to gather information to uncover the cause of the crash.
