Altadena, CA – Two-Vehicle Crash on I-5 Near SR-118 Leaves Occupants Injured

Altadena, CA (July 21, 2025) – On the afternoon of July 21, a two-vehicle accident occurred along the northbound lanes of Interstate 5, just south of State Route 118 in Altadena, resulting in multiple injuries. The California Highway Patrol (CHP) units arrived on the scene around 3:16 p.m. Responding officers worked quickly to assess the condition of the injured parties. Paramedics provided medical aid at the scene, with at least one person being transported to a nearby hospital for further evaluation and treatment. The severity of the injuries has not yet been publicly disclosed. Traffic in the area was heavily impacted as emergency crews worked to clear the roadway and investigate the crash. The Los Angeles CHP is handling the ongoing investigation.
