Sacramento, CA – Three-Vehicle Collision on I-5 N Injures Motorists

Sacramento, CA (December 17, 2025) – A three-vehicle collision on I-5 northbound caused injuries and major traffic disruption on Tuesday, December 16. California Highway Patrol reports that a dark-colored sedan collided with two other vehicles, blocking multiple travel lanes. Several motorists reported pain following the impact.

Paramedics evaluated injured parties at the scene, with at least one individual receiving medical assistance for minor injuries. Tow trucks were dispatched to remove disabled vehicles from the right shoulder. Traffic was temporarily reduced to a single lane as cleanup operations continued. CHP officers documented the scene and redirected traffic. The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
