Sacramento, CA – Two-Vehicle Crash on I-5 at Richards Blvd Leaves Several Injured

Sacramento, CA (August 22, 2025) – On the afternoon of August 21st, a two-vehicle collision on northbound I-5 near Richards Boulevard in South Sacramento resulted in multiple reported injuries. The California Highway Patrol arrived at approximately 3:29 p.m. and confirmed that both vehicles sustained significant damage during the crash. Emergency personnel quickly evaluated the injured at the scene. Some victims were treated on-site for minor injuries, while others required transport to nearby hospitals for additional medical attention. The identities of those involved have not yet been released. Investigators with CHP are working to determine the events leading to the collision.
