Sacramento, CA – Two-Vehicle Crash on I-5 Near Hwy 80 Leaves Multiple Injured

Sacramento, CA (July 8, 2025) – A serious crash involving a silver 2017 Lincoln and a white Toyota sedan occurred Tuesday afternoon, July 8, on the southbound lanes of I-5, just south of the Highway 80 interchange, leaving several people injured. The California Highway Patrol officers arrived at the scene around 3:41 p.m. and discovered both vehicles heavily damaged. Emergency medical personnel assessed the victims at the scene, and at least two individuals were transported to a nearby hospital for further treatment. Their current conditions remain unknown at this time. The Sacramento Area CHP has launched a full investigation into the incident. Traffic on I-5 backed up significantly as officials worked to clear the wreckage and reopen the roadway.
