Sacramento, CA – Wrong-Way Crash on I-5 N/Fruitridge Road Off-Ramp Injures Two

Sacramento, CA (August 11, 2025) – A wrong-way crash injured at least two people on Monday morning, August 11, on the northbound lanes of Interstate 5 at the Fruitridge Road off-ramp in South Sacramento. The California Highway Patrol arrived at the scene around 8:01 a.m. after receiving multiple 911 calls. According to reports, a red SUV and a blue sedan were both found facing the wrong direction following the collision, indicating a high-impact crash.

First responders quickly provided medical assistance to the injured occupants, with some requiring transport to a local hospital for further care.
