San Diego, CA – High-Speed Motorcycle Crash on I-5 S at 28th St. Injures Rider
San Diego, CA (August 4, 2025) – A high-speed collision involving a motorcycle and two vehicles took place on August 4 along Interstate 5 South near 28th Street, resulting in injuries to the motorcyclist.
The crash happened shortly before 9:00 a.m. and involved a green motorcycle, a gray Nissan Pathfinder, and a white Ford F-150.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the motorcyclist was reportedly lane-splitting at high speeds prior to the crash. CHP officers and local fire crews responded swiftly, with Loyal Towing and other recovery teams assisting in clearing the wreckage. The motorcyclist, who suffered visible injuries, was treated at the scene before being transported to a nearby hospital for further care. Authorities closed multiple lanes temporarily while they conducted their on-site investigation. No official cause has been determined.
