San Diego, CA – Hit-and-Run Crash on I-5/E St On-Ramp Leaves Injuries

San Diego, CA (December 10, 2025) – A hit-and-run crash involving a black Nissan Sentra left one person injured on December 9 on I-5 northbound near the E Street on-ramp. CHP reported that the striking vehicle fled the scene before officers arrived, leaving the damaged Sentra with major front-end damage. The injured party pulled over safely onto the on-ramp while contacting authorities, who later confirmed that the incident occurred on the main freeway.

Tow crews were dispatched to remove the heavily damaged vehicle as investigators worked to gather details. Officers are reviewing nearby traffic cameras and witness accounts in hopes of identifying the suspect vehicle.

Medical personnel assessed the injured driver on scene, and no hospital transport was confirmed at the time. The hit-and-run remains under investigation as officials determine the sequence of events and search for the responsible motorist.
