San Diego, CA – Injury Crash on I-5 N/La Jolla Village Drive

San Diego, CA (December 17, 2025) – A multi-vehicle crash with injuries was reported on I-5 northbound just north of La Jolla Village Drive late Wednesday morning, December 17. The California Highway Patrol responded to the scene around 11:18 a.m. and located a white Toyota Tundra and a gray SUV stopped along the right shoulder.

One person reportedly sustained injuries and received medical evaluation at the scene, with additional care provided as needed. A tow truck was requested to remove the damaged vehicles, and traffic was impacted while crews worked to clear the roadway. CHP officers documented the collision and coordinated traffic control to prevent secondary accidents. The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
