San Diego, CA – Two-Truck Collision on I-5 N/6th Ave. Injures Motorist
San Diego, CA (August 23, 2025) – On Saturday morning, August 23, two trucks collided on the northbound I-5 near 6th Avenue, leaving one driver injured. The California Highway Patrol reported that the collision occurred around 8:49 a.m. and involved a white Ford pickup and a red truck. Both vehicles came to rest in the number four lane, blocking traffic and creating a hazard. Witnesses told officers that the red truck had been driving recklessly before the crash. Fire crews and medics responded to assist the injured. The driver of one truck was evaluated on-site before being taken to a local hospital for further treatment. Tow trucks were called to remove both damaged vehicles from the roadway. Authorities are investigating reckless driving as a possible cause.
Our thoughts go out to the injured motorist, and we wish them a swift and complete recovery.
