San Diego, CA – Two-Vehicle Crash on I-5 and I-15 Con. Leaves Victims Injured
San Diego, CA (September 2, 2025) – On the afternoon of September 2, a two-car accident occurred on the Interstate 5 northbound connector to I-15 in San Diego. Authorities reported that a gray Acura and a small white vehicle collided just before 1:40 p.m. California Highway Patrol (CHP) units arrived within minutes of the report.
Both drivers sustained injuries and received medical attention at the scene. Emergency responders then transported at least one individual to a local hospital for further evaluation. Officials have not yet released the names of those involved.
The crash blocked portions of the connector ramp, leading to delays for commuters during the early afternoon. Tow trucks were called in to remove the damaged vehicles, which sustained heavy front-end damage. CHP officers are investigating to determine whether driver error or unsafe lane changes contributed to the accident.
We extend our best wishes to the injured and hope for their swift recovery.
