San Diego, CA – Two-Vehicle Crash on I-5 S/Poe St. Injures Drivers

San Diego, CA (September 2, 2025) – A two-vehicle collision on Tuesday, September 2, left several people injured on Interstate 5 South just north of Poe Street. The accident involved a red Ford F-150 pickup truck and a red Mazda 3 with Baja plates. The California Highway Patrol responded to the crash around midday and found both vehicles blocking lanes with heavy damage.

Emergency responders provided aid to the injured at the scene, and at least one victim was transported to a nearby hospital for further evaluation. The extent of their injuries has not yet been released.  Authorities are investigating whether speed or lane changes contributed to the crash.
