San Diego, CA – Two-Vehicle Crash on I-5 N/Pershing Drive Leaves Injuries

San Diego, CA (August 20, 2025) – A two-vehicle crash on Interstate 5 northbound near Pershing Drive left at least one person injured on Wednesday morning, August 20. The California Highway Patrol officers responded to the collision just south of B Street after receiving reports of a Mercedes sedan colliding with a Volkswagen.

Emergency responders, including paramedics, arrived on scene shortly after the crash was reported. At least one individual was evaluated for injuries, with ambulance crews transporting the victim to a nearby hospital for further assessment and treatment. The extent of the injuries has not yet been disclosed.

Authorities are continuing their investigation to determine the cause of the collision between the two vehicles.
