Tacoma, WA – Four-Vehicle Crash on I-5/Tacoma Dome Causes Injuries

Tacoma, WA (August 20, 2025) – A multi-vehicle collision disrupted traffic along Interstate 5 near the Tacoma Dome on Wednesday afternoon, August 20. The Washington State Department of Transportation reported the crash at milepost 134.6 near East L Street around 2:07 p.m.

According to Washington State Patrol Trooper John Dattilo, the crash involved four vehicles, including a dump truck. Fortunately, no injuries were reported despite the severity of the collision and the presence of a large commercial vehicle.

Investigators are reviewing the circumstances that led to the multi-vehicle pileup. Drivers were urged to use caution and expect delays while crews completed the cleanup.
