San Diego, CA – Two-Vehicle Crash on I-5 S/Tecolote Rd Leaves Victims Hurt

San Diego, CA (July 22, 2025) – Two people were reportedly injured following a two-vehicle collision on Interstate 5 South near Tecolote Road, just north of the SeaWorld exit, on Tuesday evening, July 22. The crash was reported at around 6:21 p.m., prompting a swift response from the California Highway Patrol. Upon arrival, officers found both vehicles with visible damage, and one blocking a travel lane. Emergency medical services responded to the scene, providing immediate care to the victims. One individual was taken to the hospital for further observation, while the other was treated on-site and released. Authorities worked quickly to remove the damaged vehicles and clear the roadway. CHP continues to investigate the exact cause of the accident, and no further information has been made available at this time.
