San Diego, CA – Two-Vehicle Crash on I-5 S/Via De La Valle Causes Injuries

San Diego, CA (August 27, 2025) – A two-vehicle collision on I-5 southbound near Via De La Valle left several people injured on Wednesday afternoon, August 27. According to reports, one of the vehicles struck another near the reporter’s truck, forcing both to the shoulder.

CHP officers responded to the scene, where paramedics assessed the victims. At least one person was transported to a nearby hospital, while others were treated on-site. Both vehicles sustained visible damage, and lanes were slowed as tow trucks worked to remove the wreckage. The extent of the injuries has not yet been released.

The California Highway Patrol is investigating the events leading up to the collision.
