San Diego, CA – Two-Vehicle Crash on I-5 S/SR-94 Leaves Several Injured

San Diego, CA (August 27, 2025) – A two-vehicle accident on the southbound lanes of I-5 just north of SR-94 left multiple people injured on Wednesday afternoon, August 27. The collision forced both vehicles onto the right-hand shoulder, causing delays in the area. The crash occurred around 3:55 p.m., with California Highway Patrol arriving shortly after.

First responders assessed those involved, with several individuals receiving medical care at the scene. At least one person was transported to a nearby hospital for further evaluation. Both vehicles sustained visible damage, though no fatalities have been reported.

The right lanes were slowed as crews cleared debris and assisted the injured. CHP officers are continuing to investigate the collision to determine the cause of the crash.
