San Diego, CA – Two-Vehicle Crash on I-5/Sea World Leaves Victims Injured
San Diego, CA (August 20, 2025) – A serious crash involving two vehicles took place on I-5 South just north of Tecolote Road, near the Sea World exit, on Wednesday afternoon, August 20. The California Highway Patrol reported the accident at 3:27 p.m., involving a white Ford F-150 pickup truck and a black Toyota sedan.
Upon arrival, officers found both vehicles on the right shoulder with heavy damage. At least one person sustained injuries and was transported by paramedics to a nearby hospital, while others received on-site medical evaluations. Their current conditions have not been disclosed.
Emergency crews worked to secure the scene and remove the wrecked vehicles. Tow trucks and clean-up crews were deployed to clear the roadway. CHP launched an investigation into the crash, focusing on the events leading up to the collision.
