Newhall, CA – Semi-Truck Collision on I-5 at Templin Hwy Leaves Injuries

Newhall, CA (August 20, 2025) – Two semi-trucks collided on I-5 South near Templin Highway early Wednesday morning, August 20, leaving at least one person injured. The crash was reported at 7:16 a.m. on the right shoulder of the highway.

When California Highway Patrol officers arrived, they found both tractor-trailers with visible damage and one driver requiring medical attention. Emergency medical teams assessed the injured party on site before transporting them to a hospital for further treatment. The wreck caused lane restrictions as clean-up crews worked to remove debris and spilt cargo from the roadway.

CHP remained on the scene to manage traffic and gather details from witnesses. Investigators are now working to determine what caused the two commercial vehicles to collide.
