San Onofre, CA – Auto Wreck with Injuries Reported on San Diego Freeway near the San Onofre Weigh Station

San Onofre, CA (February 14, 2023) – Injuries were reported as a result of a motor vehicle accident that took place in the San Onofre area on Monday morning.

At approximately 11:55 a.m. on February 13, the California Highway Patrol responded to the scene of an accident on the San Diego Freeway, Interstate 5.

Reports provided by CHP show that a collision occurred on 5 North in the area just after the San Onofre weigh station. The incident prompted officials to close off multiple lanes on the road as they provided assistance.

Emergency medical services responded to care for the victims on site. At least one person was transported to a local hospital for further medical care.

The California Highway Patrol is currently investigating the incident.
