Santa Ana, CA – Multi-Vehicle Crash on I-5/Alton Pkwy. Off-Ramp Leaves Injuries

Santa Ana, CA (September 1, 2025) – A three-vehicle collision on I-5 northbound near the Alton Parkway off-ramp left several people injured Monday afternoon. The California Highway Patrol responded around 2:39 p.m. Authorities confirmed that a gray Tesla, a Nissan Rogue, and a black Chevrolet were among the vehicles involved. Ambulances were dispatched to the scene, and paramedics provided aid to multiple victims before transporting at least one to a nearby hospital for further evaluation. The collision partially blocked the Alton Parkway off-ramp, forcing traffic delays as officers redirected vehicles. Tow trucks were requested to clear the heavily damaged cars from the roadway. CHP officers reported that the crash occurred just as traffic was merging off the freeway, though the exact cause remains under investigation.
