Sacramento, CA – Honda and Big Rig Collide on I-5 N/Laguna Blvd.

Sacramento, CA (August 31, 2025) – A traffic collision involving a green Honda Accord and a big rig took place on Saturday afternoon, August 30, along Interstate 5 northbound near the Laguna Boulevard exit. The California Highway Patrol (CHP) responded shortly before 5:00 p.m. The Honda came to rest in the center divider while the semi-truck stopped further ahead on the right shoulder.

One or more individuals sustained injuries, with paramedics providing on-scene medical attention before arranging transport for further evaluation. Investigators with CHP are reviewing how the crash unfolded, including whether lane changes or visibility played a role.
