Capistrano, CA – Injury Multi-Car Crash on I-5 S/Crown Valley Pkwy.

Capistrano, CA (August 31, 2025) – Late on Saturday, August 30, a major multi-vehicle collision occurred on Interstate 5 South near Crown Valley Parkway, leaving multiple people injured. The California Highway Patrol (CHP) reported that three vehicles, including a black sedan and a blue sedan, were involved in the wreck.

Emergency responders, including paramedics, fire crews, and CHP units, arrived quickly. At least two individuals were pulled from the overturned cars and treated at the scene before being transported to a local hospital for further evaluation.

The crash created a significant slowdown, with Transportation Management Center alerts issued to warn drivers of delays. Tow trucks later cleared the wreckage, but authorities remained on site to investigate the sequence of events that led to the crash. The condition of the victims remains under review. CHP is continuing to investigate whether speed or impairment may have contributed to the accident.
