Santa Ana, CA – Multi-Vehicle Crash on I-5 N/4th St. Causes Injuries

Santa Ana, CA (August 13, 2025) – A multi-vehicle accident involving a white BMW, a semi-truck, and a silver SUV on I-5 near 4th Street on Wednesday afternoon, August 15. The California Highway Patrol reported the crash around 2:30 p.m. The impact left a white BMW and a silver Toyota SUV disabled, while the semi sustained visible damage.

Paramedics treated at least one injured person at the scene, and additional patients were evaluated for possible transport to a hospital. Tow trucks worked to move the BMW from the center divider and the SUV from the shoulder.

The cause of the collision remains under investigation, though officers are reviewing whether lane changes or sudden braking contributed. Traffic was heavily impacted, with backups stretching for miles.
