Santa Ana, CA (December 9, 2025) – Multiple vehicles collided on Monday, December 8, on Interstate 5 southbound at the Alton Parkway exit, sending emergency personnel to the scene and leaving several motorists injured. CHP classified the incident as a confirmed injury, prompting fire and ambulance dispatch.
Reports indicate that a black Jeep and a white Tesla SUV were among the vehicles involved. Both vehicles were rendered undrivable and positioned in the right lane at the time responders arrived. A third vehicle contributed to the chain-reaction impact, though details on that car remain limited. Injured individuals were evaluated at the scene by paramedics, and at least one party was transported for additional medical care.
Traffic slowed significantly as responders moved vehicles to the shoulder and cleared debris from the offramp. All lanes reopened once roadway safety was restored. Officers continue to review the circumstances leading to the crash.
