Santa Ana, CA – Two-Vehicle Crash on I-5 N/SR-55 Leaves Injuries

Santa Ana, CA (September 9, 2025) – A two-vehicle accident on the northbound lanes of Interstate 5 near the SR-55 interchange resulted in injuries on Tuesday, September 9. The crash, which occurred around 5:00 p.m., involved a black Chevrolet SUV and a white Honda Civic. CHP (California Highway Patrol) officers responded to the scene and confirmed that at least one person was hurt in the impact.

An ambulance was requested, and one of the victims was transported to a local hospital for additional care. Both vehicles sustained visible damage and were later towed from the highway. Traffic delays extended through the early evening as crews worked to clear the roadway. Investigators from CHP are working to determine the cause of the crash.
