Santa Ana, CA – Two-Vehicle Crash on I-5 S/Main St Causes Injuries

Santa Ana, CA (January 7, 2026) – A two-vehicle injury collision was reported on Tuesday afternoon on I-5 southbound near the Main Street and Broadway off-ramp in Santa Ana, according to the California Highway Patrol. The crash occurred shortly before 2:00 p.m. and involved a blue Nissan Kicks and another passenger vehicle. Both vehicles came to rest in the collector lanes, partially blocking traffic.

Santa Ana Fire Authority units and CHP officers responded to the scene, where at least one individual reported injuries. An ambulance was dispatched, and the injured party was evaluated before being transported to a nearby medical facility for further treatment. The extent of the injuries has not been publicly disclosed. Freeway Service Patrol assisted with traffic control while responders worked to clear the roadway.
