Solana Beach, CA – Two-Vehicle Crash on I-5 Near Lomas Santa Fe Causes Injuries

Solana Beach, CA (July 30, 2025) – A crash between a red Toyota pickup and a gray Audi sedan led to injuries on the northbound I-5 just north of Lomas Santa Fe Drive on the afternoon of July 30th. The California Highway Patrol arrived at the scene around 2:17 p.m. and confirmed that both vehicles had moved to the right-hand shoulder.

According to reports, the red Toyota truck swerved unexpectedly, striking the Audi. Initial reports indicated that the severity of injuries was unclear, but paramedics were called to evaluate those involved. One occupant in the Audi is believed to have sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was treated at the scene.

CHP officials remained at the site to assess the scene and begin preliminary investigations. Authorities are continuing to look into what caused the Toyota to veer into the Audi’s path.
